I have always been interested in FS and I believe it can be a very useful tool for the real world pilot, even though they don't seem to realise it in GA.I achieved my PPL in 1999 but still to this day keep my flying skills sharp by using FS!I staged a FS show at Sherburn Aero Club in 2006 and back then I had the idea of setting up a user group, but because the club rules stated that anyone using the club had to be a member and the cheapest membership being a social membership at £57 I didn't think it was viable.2009 SHOW REPORT (HERE) But at the end of 2007 the club reduced this to just £10 so I cleared it with the powers that be and as they say the rest is history!The group is growing month by month we have over 40 members and we have only had 4 meetings so far! (note this article was wrote in May)We meet at the club on the first Saturday in the month at 10.00am,it's not compulsory to bring a system along but it does make it more interesting when you do!
